Back-systems (ao. resilient)
Each child has special needs, therefore the correct positioning and optimal support is of great importance. Very important is the correct hip-seat adjustment. That's why we also offer different options on the Kiddo Classic & Tilt in the field of adjustable back-systems. All our back-systems are integrated in the central back tube of the wheelchair. The entire back-unit (system, back cushion and pushbar) is mounted with a Quick-Release-unit and can be removed easily.

The fixed back unit (image left 'standard fixed') is the standard version of the Kiddo Tilt & Classic. Below we have listed the various options and these options are explained in the different tabs. Removable back-unit | QR-removable:
The entire back-unit (system, back cushion and pushbar) is mounted with a Quick-Release-unit and can be removed easily (Handy for wheelchair transport).
10º removable back-unit | QR-removable:
Sometimes it is necessary to promote a more active posture by offering a hip angle greater than 100 degrees. For this reason we use the 10 degree option. The entire back-unit (system, back cushion and pushbar) is mounted with a Quick-Release-unit and can be removed easily (Handy for wheelchair transport).
Resilient back-unit | QR-removable:
Especially for children with uncontrolled movements (Cerebral Palsy) we provide the dynamic back that can be mounted on the Classic & Tilt. Due to this resilient back (anti spasm), the force that is carried out on the wheelchair can be absorbed. The back is easily adjustable in strength through the shock breaker setting. The resilient function is to turn off in its entirety by a latch. The spring unit is integrated in the central back tube of the wheelchair.
Resilient back-unit 10º | QR-removable:
To accommodate uncontrolled movements in combination with offering a hip angle greater than 100 degrees, the wheelchair can be equipped with a 10º resilient system. Due to this resilient back (anti spasm), the force that is carried out on the wheelchair can be absorbed. And the 10 degree option often gives the user just that little extra space for a more active sitting position. The back is easily adjustable in strength through the shock breaker setting. The resilient function is to turn off in its entirety by a latch. The spring unit is integrated in the central back tube of the wheelchair.
Angle adjustable back-unit | QR removable:
If you need to change the back angle setting regularly (for example to reduce bowel problems) then choose this option. The angular adjustment can be adjusted directly and very easily in any desired position by the lockable gas spring.
The gas spring unit is integrated in the central back tube of the wheelchair.

All our wheelchairs can be provided with a Pelvi-loc. The pelvic pads are 3 - dimensional shape, for optimum fixation of the pelvis without pressure on the spine anterior superior. Formed shape with ultra thin end at the moulded seat fixing point to avoid lateral pressure marks at the pelvis. Prevents lateral pressure points on the pelvis. The ratchet will run in addition to a strap to prevent injuries.
